Saturday, August 9, 2014
Workshop: 3-5:30 PM*
Concert: 7:30-8:30 PM
Geri lives outside of Asheville, NC on a beautiful piece of land where two streams meet. She has been lovingly crafting and playing flutes for two decades. She has played to greet the sun and to put the day to rest, at births and at death beds, for yoga workshops, for ceremonies, at music festivals and in service to her Community.
Healing Sounds: A Native American Flute workshop - 3-5:30 PM
The Native American flute touches people deeply. It seems to have the power to ground us, to connect us with the natural world by connecting us with our hearts, to speak to us as individual sparks of the this Great Life and to unite us as All Our Relations.
Please join in an experiential workshop to explore the effects of the Native American flute on body, mind, emotions, and spirit. There will be opportunities to share words about sound and healing, to share effective techniques, as well as to experience a short flute meditation. There will be time to reflect on the experience and share.
People are welcome to bring one flute that they feel a heart connection with or that they use to connect hearts with. Feel free to bring a journal or a sketchbook.
Energy exchange: $10-40. Offerings of $25 or more will receive a copy of Geri's CD One Thursday Morning in June: A Flute Journey
An Evening of Ambient Music with Geri LittleJohn: 7:30-8:30 PM
